Nevado de Colima National Park closed

The department of Civil Protection and Fire has closed the National Park as of February 3rd due to snow and ice on the access roads. Accumulations of up to 45 centimeters have been measured at higher levels. Today the park roads reopened but only to vehicles with four wheel drive.

First snow of the season on Nevado de Colima

The first days of 2010 have covered volcano Nevado de Colima with snow. On Sunday morning we are here after a winter storm, high winds and a light sleet occurred early Saturday.
